The RX0 II lets you record 4K movies1 with full pixel readout and no pixel binning, using 1.7x oversampling to help produce stunningly clear images and action scenes. Despite the camera's compact size, it supports internal 4K 30p6 recording (QFHD: 3840 x 2160), making it ideal for shooting high-image-quality movies when you're travelling or when you're capturing scenes from daily life.

New electronic image stabilisation helps you capture great-looking movies, while the Movie Edit add-on for your smartphone achieves smooth images, similar to shooting with a gimbal.7 The Movie Edit add-on can also keep your subject in-frame automatically, even when you crop movies for smartphone portrait screens and social-media sharing.

Tiltable LCD monitor perfect for selfies
The camera's LCD monitor tilts upward around 180°, making it easy to frame selfie shots and vlogging sessions. With its waterproof and dustproof design you can even use it for underwater shots. The monitor also tilts downward, by around 90°, to help when you're shooting from a high angle.

Extended control with the optional shooting grip
The VCT-SGR1 Shooting Grip has integrated controls to let you trip the shutter release and operate the record button and the camera's zoom from the grip itself. The shooting grip can also be converted for use as a tabletop tripod.

External microphone for high-quality sound
In spite of its ultra-compact size, the RX0 II comes equipped with a microphone jack, so you can attach an external mic for better quality sound in your vlogs and movies.

Super slow-motion movies from 960fps/1000fps shooting
Shooting at frame rates of up to 960fps/1000fps captures split-second action and allows you to produce super slow-motion movie scenes. You can even capture in full HD resolution at up to 120fps/100fps.

Interval recording for time-lapse movies
The camera's new interval recording feature enables continuous shooting with a set interval between 1 and 60 seconds. These still images can then be edited into a time-lapse movie on a PC.

Continuous shooting at up to 16fps with reduced blackout
The RX0 II's continuous shooting capabilities allow you to better capture decisive moments of action and fleeting facial expressions. Up to 129 JPEG (Standard) images can be shot in one burst.

Anti-distortion Shutter at up to 1/32,000 sec.
The Anti-distortion Shutter is capable of shutter speeds of up to 1/32,000 sec., and it's designed to minimise the rolling shutter phenomenon which can distort images of fast-moving objects.
