When a CD-Drive is listed to be compatible with a system, it is assured that the interface type and the form factor are compatible. Typically, 8x speed can write a CD disc in approximately 8-13 minutes; 16x speed can write a CD disc in approximately 4-7 minutes; 24x speed can write a CD disc in approximately 3-4 minutes.
