DELL Broadcom 57810-K Internal Fiber 10000 Mbit/s
SKU
542-BBCH
Category: Network Cards
Overview
The Broadcom 57810-K Dual-Port 10Gb KR bNDC is PowerEdge Blade Network Daughter Card (bNDC) that features Dual 10GBASE-KR ports. It also features on-chip TOE, iSCSI, FCoE(Post-RTS), PCI-SIG SR-IOV, DCB and RDMA. It's based on the Broadcom BCM57810S Converged Controller.
Designed as a performance focused, low-power, full HBA offload adapter, the Broadcom 57810-K based on the BCM57810S controller provides dual 10GBASE-KR connections and reduced CPU load on multi-CPU systems.
The BCM57810S is a sixth-generation Converged Controller designed for high-volume, converged network adapter applications, enables PCI SIG Single Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV), iSCSI, FCoE(Post-RTS), DCB, on-chip TOE, and RDMA. The Converged Controller supports PCIe™ 3.0 along with Embedded Virtual Bridging and other switching technologies for high-performance direct memory access (DMA) and virtual machine (VM) to VM switching.
The BCM57810S enable convergence of all the possible network communications in a server, such as data network (LAN), FCoE storage network (block, e.g., iSCSI, or file, e.g., CIFS/NFS), clustering (e.g., High-Performance Computing [HPC]), or Inter Process Communications (IPC) by support of RDMA over TCP. The BCM57810S can simultaneously support all offload traffic types on each of the ports, including simultaneous iSCSI and FCoE. Offload results in superior storage and networking performance, and low CPU utilization, resulting in significant system level power savings.
